Higdon

An observation.

From my vantage point, it appears that perhaps Charlie Strong is not held in the high level of regard by his peers to which we have been led to believe.

Other than Wickline, none of his hires are homeruns AND, Robinson may be leaving before he begins.

Really want to be wrong.

Sorry to hear that about Robinson, Bigg.

I hope you are too. The whole cluster..... seems to have Watson in the middle of it.

Everything I've read and heard even on a national basis says he's very respected. I don't think you could pull the best OL coach in the nation others have tried to get out of OSU for years including even mack or a VERY respected DL coach out of bama or a well respected coach out of USC etc etc if people didnt respect you. He's put together an excellent staff so far in even some of the national analyst views I've seen. He's got some monster recruiters on the staff as well. Hell one was a top 25 rivals recruiter of the year not that long ago. I read something the other day from a respected voice (forget where ) that mentioned strong had gotten everyone he wanted so far. Fans can argue splash value but all these guys can coach their ass off and will be a culture shock from the last decade plus at Texas IMO

strong has known to be extremly loyal to his staff and those that have stuck by him...my best bet, he has been waiting on giving anything to anyone and keeping watson as part of the staff, while he waits and sees if watson gets other job offers and lands good on his feet.

strong knows, that he is expected to bring in a big time OC with great merits...that was set in stone from the beg...from the 3 amigos side

watson, contrary to popular believe was not introduced as a qb coach at the team meeting on sunday..he was simply introduced as someone on the staff "for now"...

Confirmation bias still runs strong. . .

Many of the same chicken littles who bemoaned Greg Davis as he was breaking every record in our books . .as well as breaking several NCAA barriers . . .now are opining that suddenly Charlie Strong isn't well regarded or that the sky is falling because the coaches he is trying to hire are being sought by NFL teams. . .

I'll go out on a limb . . .despite not having a clue who the OC will be and being saddled with a green as grass QB.. . replacing our top 3 OL starters ..our offense in 2014 out preforms any since 2009. . . .of course based on the only stat that really matters. . .scoring. . .

Steak dinners. . .

Higdon is calling Watson just the QB coach tonight for what it's worth. Says will visit Heard this week

Yep, was about to say the same thing. Higdon keeps calling him the "qb coach" with no hint of him being an OC. I'm not sure if Higdon is legit, but I don't think he believes Watson is going to be the OC. Still not buying the co-coordinator talk either. Think it would have been announced by now if someone on the staff was going to be the OC. Could be dead wrong, but not seeing it.
