In 14 games under Strong and Watson, Texas has scored less than 20 points in 7 of them and have scored less than 10 points in 6 of them.

So one game over 20 points? Going off memory here but wasn't that the loss against ou last year?

Edit note: I forgot about the offensive display we put on that defensive powerhouse Iowa St.

Watson's game plan:  Elementary playground style - Everyone go Long!

Start Heard and run a true spread that attracts HS talent.  Replace Watson with someone who knows how to run the spread.

Games scoring 20 or fewer points

2000-2009                  2010-2015

     2                                    15

Now if that's not eye opening, well you're just blind

Here is tidbit, so you may be right Pup:

That said, ND will play teams with less talent than the Longhorns this season, and those teams will give them a better test than Texas did. One ND player told me after the game that his teammates were "shocked" at how bad Texas had become. He said it felt like Texas had a lot of talent, but seemed discombobulated. After last night, I imagine all of the Power-5 athletic directors who scheduled dangerous early season FCS opponents are frantically trying to replace them on the schedule with Texas.

UT embarrassed itself on a national stage while Texas A&M beat a Top-15 opponent. Recruiting is only going to get tougher in Texas for the Longhorns. I like Charlie Strong, but he needs to figure out this shit pretty fast. If that means more changes on the offensive staff at the end of the season, so be it.

I still believe the distant future is bright, even if the near future is not.

Promote Traylor and if he does a good job then he's our OC for next year. If Traylor doesn't do a good job, hire a top OC next year.
