The Longhorns and Terrapins open the season at FedExField in Landover, Maryland at 11:00 am on Saturday.  Will Texas win its first season-opener under head coach Tom Herman?  A win would set the tone for a promising season, while a loss would be a significant blow to Herman and the future of the program.

Maryland ruined Herman’s debut in Austin last year, defeating Texas 51-41. Sophmore quarterback Shane Buechele will take the reins at quarterback in hopes of establishing an offense that sputtered last season.
