USC is going to set scoring records on us.
I hate to be negative, but was prepared to see something totally different than what I'm seeing. Buechelle can't get protection, but he does nothing to help himself. The INT was totally unnecessary and started the downward spiral.
We're down by 16 to the Big 10's worst team. At home. I just can't wrap my mind around that right now.

Scooter, I'm just having a difficult time with anyone blaming the qb in this game.
He didn't commit the drive-killing penalties.
He isn't letting defenders run unblocked through the line.
He isn't on the field letting their offense score.
He isn't on the field committing special teams errors.
He is in the first year of a new offense.
Our first string tight end is out for the year.
I don't claim to know a lot about football. I'm a woman who loves the game, but never got to play, naturally.

I "get" it too the team is in this thing as a whole but if you can't have good qb play (decisions) then you go nowhere...like I said before you're holding onto nothing...he will never prove anything to you

I appreciate your thoughts, Java. You're right on all accounts, except for the end conclusion.
QBs should provide a spark to their offense. When nothing else is working, he finds a way. And his play inspires not only the O, but the D as well. That said, we have no idea what that would even be like at Texas. We learn that by watching other teams and remembering how our QBs once played here.
The special teams have actually scored a TD, so I find it tough to be critical there, especially when considering what we're used to around here.
We're used to having no TE. Maybe Herman isn't, but I am. But what are we really missing with Beck anyway? He's average, at best.
It will be interesting to see what kind of adjustments on both sides of the ball after halftime. This will tell us a lot about this staff.
