*****GAME THREAD: No. 9 Texas @Florida*****

This sucks. We played bad. We looked bad. And we still almost won.

I have new respect for Matthew Caldwell.

Arch played well but spent most of the game on his back or running for his life.

Niblett still scares the shit out of me.

Something has tto give on the OL. Looks like maybe Brooks is the new starter at LG.

Wingo had a nice game.

Put out an APB on our pass rush. They are MIA.

I am left wondering there . . for the last half of the 4th quarter, we blocked fairly well. I don't know if its because Brooks came in, FLorida DL got tired, or what.

Today was humiliating. Horns were dominated at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Arch is not who we thought he was. The highly touted defense was run over today. It’s hard to believe this team was preseason number 1.

I will now harken back to the pre-Sark era and say ā€œwe suck until we prove we don’tā€.

Stroh got his ass sat down. That needs to happen with every position including QB. The DT's played poorly and without passion. They ate the most rat poison. Texas rarely brought more than four pass rushers. Too many times did I see Lefau and Hill act like they would rush only to bail. I thought Florida always seemed to bring a DB for a fifth rusher.
Every game is a must win now. Gotta run the table.

That's quite the over reaction.

This loss is primarily on the OL but the defense sure didn’t help any. Arch with three or four passes he wish ge had back. Most of the time he had no time to throw.

Very long season ahead if things don’t change.

The ten second run off is a bogus rule. If the helmet pops off because he took a hit, that's one thing. If he looses it because the defender has him in a headlock and rips it off the run off is BS. This rule needs to be looked at. Twisting someone's headgear should be as bad as a facemask.

Arch has to make quicker decisions. Too often, he held the ball too long. The o-line seldom gave him the luxury of going through all his reads.
Having no run game made it worse.
His misses were not as bad as the OSU or SJS games, but
he's still got a way to go. He did make some very good throws though.
ou and tamu may be choking on their own spit laughing now, but that will only make it sting more when we beat them.
This one hurts, but I still believe we're going to have a really good team.
Just beat ou!

Sark to Craig Way on the post game show. " We need to do a better job of running the ball" and the better one "We need to do a better job of pass protecting ". Ya think !!!...
Sorry fellas..nothing is changing

That's quite the over reaction.
Is it, though? Are we gonna be bowl eligible this season? Right now, theres no team left on the schedule where I can point and confidently say we'd beat them (MAYBE kentucky?...ill actually be in attendance for that one too, haha)

Legit concerned given how well the teams on our schedule are playing right now.

When it became obvious the run game wasn't going to work Sark became stubborn and on passing downs he always sent RB into a pattern instead of using them for pass pro.

I just realized something. Today's loss is my fault. I wore Longhorn paraphernalia earlier today. It never turns out well when I do that. My bad. :(

I believe that f the defender rips off the helmet then it's a penalty, and the player can stay in the game, and no 10 second run off.

I didn't see what caused Arch's helmet to come off, but no penalty was called.
