*****GAME THREAD: No. 10 Texas @ No. 5 Georgia*****

Penalties... and penalties on the same players over and over, with seemingly no consequences. Tired of the same BS. If Texas can't out talent a team, we have very little chance to win, because our coaches can't seem to get it done.

I like how this team continued to compete despite all the mistakes through three quarters. Unfortunately it got away from them in the fourth quarter.

And what are the odds that UGA only committed two penalties (including one declined) over something like 140 total plays? Southern home cookin' for sure.
Don’t blame the refs. Great coaching beats mediocre coaching every time

I'm not blaming the refs for the loss...we didn't play well enough to win. Only that the lack of calls on UGA is suspect.

The penalties against us were almost certainly deserved and made a huge difference in an otherwise competitive game. They just accumulated and negatively affected plays in all three phases. So frustrating to watch.

Think we haven’t seen Manning’s ceiling yet. Think we have seen Sark!s. His teams are not disciplined and he can’t win a big game.

Really thought we would beat aggy this year. Not now. Aggy gonna kick our ass.

I don't know. It would be all we have to play for, puting an L on their season. Aggy isn't as good as Georgia, IMO. We'll move the ball on Aggy. Concepcion is the only one on their sideline who scares me.

And we get them at home.

aggie's strength of schedule sucks. They managed to draw an incredibly weak SEC schedule and have cashed it in...so far.

This was an embarrassment. Seemed like it was personal to Kirby to not just beat Sark, but to embarrass him. Arch played solid, but outside of Parker Livingstone, these WRs are mediocre. Wingo drops critical passes and Moore hasn't done anything this year. Mosely is a solid and he was a good pickup this offseason, but the injury earlier this year set him back

Don't even get me going on the secondary. The talent is there, but the style of defense they play "bend but don't break" feeds into complacency and laziness, imo. Would love aggressive CBs to take advantage of a really, really good pass rush. What good is having a QB pressure and speeding him up only to have him throw to a wide open WR/TE? Wasted. I've seen that too many times this year. Texas should have twice as many INTs, imo

Something needs to change. Akina, Orphy are not the answers back there, but it starts with PK and Sark. All gas, no brakes applies to both sides. This is a game of aggression, not passiveness.

That last paragraph is spot on. I think it's time for PK to move on. He has squandered enough talent in the secondary.

The sun came up here in Nuevo Vallarta this morning. Guess life goes on…..

New bar is 9-3 with wins over ou and aggy with piggy as icing on the cake. Let’s see what happens.

"What good is having a QB pressure and speeding him up only to have him throw to a wide open WR/TE?"

I'm so sorry for quoting myself, but there is one play that stands out regarding this statement that is a perfect example.

3rd and 19 from the Vandy 2 yard line. Texas just got a sack on the play before and was getting great pressure on this play. Pavia drifts a little to his right and low and behold there is a wide open WR at the sticks. He calmly floats it out there and they pick up the 1st down and go on to score a TD. CB is at least 5 yards off him. WTF was that? Game is over if they stick to the WR. Hell, Pavia is probably sacked or takes off running.

It's shit like that and we wonder why this team got embarrassed last night. When is the last time we had a team go for the throat?

aggy will curb stomp this team. This team has no coaching and progressed very little all season.

Spot on. I can think of only one group that is better in week 10 than they were in week 1 and that is the QB. Arch has played a lot better as the season has moved along. Maybe the OL in the last couple of weeks, but in terms of pass pro. The run game blacking is still bad.

Defense has actually gone backwards from where they were

These refs . . . they might as well wear red and black

When they called the "holding" on Hill, I knew it was going to be a long night. How they missed the "holding" on the Georgia defender on Moore, which lead to the ball being intercepted and killing a potential Texas scoring drive is a mystery (wink, wink).

Georgia had their first penalty called with around 5:30 left in the 3rd quarter. From there, they only had 1 the rest of the game but it was declined since we got the first down anyway.

Bad calls aside, we just got our arse kicked, plain and simple, especially in the 4th. Based on Sark's expression after that onside kick, I'm sure he chewed some butt later that night! I'm also glad I didn't play with some on this board who are ready to throw in the towel already. You play and give it your all every play, every game until the end!

Let's go kick some arky arse! 🤘
