Texas returns to the Forty Acres with a loss to put behind it and a chance to get back on track in SEC play. A week after falling 27-24 to Oklahoma in the Red River Rivalry, the seventh-ranked Longhorns host Florida on Saturday morning at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. Texas enters at 4-1 overall and 1-1 in conference play, while the Gators arrive at 4-2 and 2-2 in the SEC.

Neither team comes into the matchup with much momentum. Florida opened its first season under head coach Jon Sumrall with four consecutive victories before suffering back-to-back losses to Missouri and South Carolina. The Longhorns, meanwhile, are looking to avoid a second straight conference defeat after Oklahoma handed them their first loss of the season.

There is also some unfinished business for Texas. Florida earned its first win in the series last October, beating the Longhorns 29-21 in Gainesville. Saturday brings the matchup back to Austin, where Texas won decisively when the programs met in 2024.

We go the first possession and half marching down the field in 10 personnel. Arch hitting wide open receivers and then Sark pulls out of it for no apparent reason and has to kick and field goal a then back to back punts.

Im sure he'll blame execution.
