*****GAME THREAD: #4 Texas Longhorns vs. Wyoming Cowboys*****

Just watched the replay and I also noticed this last night in regard to how bad the crew that worked the game is. Did anyone else notice that with a little more than 2 to 2 1/2 minutes left in the 3rd quarter, Wyoming had the ball 1st goal and their 8 yd line. The QB went back to pass, scrambled to his right and was chased out of bounds at the 10. The refs spotted the ball at the 8 again yet replay clearly showed him going out of bounds a little behind the 10-yard line. Sark and the refs were talking for a while so that would have given the replay team plenty of time to look at it but nothing happened.

Did anyone else catch that? Does anyone know what the discussion with Sark and the crew was?

Yeah, that was really strange. Was thinking either I was very confused,  or the officiating crew was. When it didn't change after the delay I was left SMH. In the end it didn't matter.

Yes sir, I noticed that as well.  Even texted my son asking him did I miss him throw the ball away just before.  That crew was the same ones that did the OkSt/Tex game last year.  You know, 14 - 0 penalties called.  They may be the worst crew in the entire country.

I was watching the game with my OSU alumnus brother and he picked up that was the crew from the OSU/Texas game last year. They were so bad. That spot is baffling and I still don’t understand what they did. The pass interference penalty on Terrance Brooks was ridiculous. Worst part about big 12 refs is there is no flow to the games. Constant stoppage of the action for BS reviews that take forever and of course the terrible calls.
Nobody from any of the schools likes the officiating. Commissioner should address this. It’s hurts the game.

Spot was really bad. I actually thought it was closer to the 11 or 12 yard line. I think the deal is that where the ball is spotted is not reviewable unless it for a first down or something like that. Not sure.

Equally bad though was the LHN announcing crew had no clue whatsoever what was going on. Really glad we don't have to watch any more football games on the LHN. Sorry, they are just not very good.

Commissioner probably signed off on this.

In between the 10 & 11 IMHO but that was bad and weird. In defense of the LHN guys, they did notice it and mention it but like the rest of us, weren't sure what happened. If not reviewable, it should be.

Agree it ended up not mattering but it could have. It was marked 2 to 3 yards from where he ran out of bounds. Bad job zebras.

You're right, the more I watch it, the more he seems like he went out at the 12 which makes the spot even worse!
