Pete, are you still overseas and if so, where do you get your cuts from?

Yes, I'm still overseas.  When it comes to the brisket, anytime one of the guys from the office goes back stateside, I have them bring back a brisket or two. (The benefits of having a diplomatic passport - they don't check your bags at customs)

They don't cut the cow the same down here as in the states, and it is difficult trying to explain to them how to cut for a brisket.  I've tried a couple of times, and they just dont get the concept, especially since everyone down here just buys small portions and grills those.  I tried to have one guy do the cut for me, and when I came back for it he handed me a bunch of slices of meat.

When it comes to pork, there is a butcher shop here, and even though they look at me like I'm crazy when I tell them I want the whole leg, they are happy to oblige.  This butcher shop also has pretty good cuts of pork chops.

Oh, and FWIW, I saw a brisket yesterday at Costco, almost $7/pound- $77.00 price tag.  USDA Choice. 

Damn brisket is expensive right now!!

I'm taking mine over to a buddy's place this afternoon.  We'll have the UT game on as well as the Okie Lite game, (one of my buddy's is a Okie Lite guy.)

Yeah, mine should be done by 7:00 pm eastern time.  I told everyone, at 8:00 pm it will be a serve yourself, don't expect much from the host type of affair.  I will be watching the game.
