Temp on the scoreboard says it's 35. True temp/feels like it's 29-30.

Everything is really wet, but not soaked. No puddling on the field - although the mound is stlll covered.

It's drizzling and looking at the radar makes me think that won't stop much for the next several hours.

The Horns are warming up and taking BP. Needless to say, they're wearing as much fleece as possible.

Just chatted with Greg Swindell about the challenges of pitching in this kind of weather. He said it's really, really hard to control breaking pitches in cold, wet weather because you don't know how hard to snap on a pitch-to-pitch basis.

He said a little moisture on the ball is helpful for grip, but when it gets to wet it's tough. He said to watch the first pitch after a hit because the ball will be wetter (from rolling/bouncing on the field).

Tarp is back on the mound and they're calling it a "delay" - not cancelling anything, yet.

Umpires just announced the delay will continue. They now have the Doppler radar on the video board in RF.

Beer me.

Glad Matt is doing PBP tonight so I can enjoy my Texas Independence Day party in Washington state tonight!

Matt, I'll drink my next beer in your honor.  :D
