Not the end of the world, and i guess it's been this way a while, but if the winners of both brackets go through undefeated, you have no games next Saturday or Sunday. Seems kinda odd to me.

I think it's disappointing they paired TTU and TCU in the first round. They could have done a better job than that. I'm certain it's due to seeding and which team beat what team, but c'mon, two teams from the same conference!

Oh, fellas, how many teams from the greatest conference on earth, the SEC, made it to the CWS? What, can't hear you?

Hook 'em!

they weren't paired. brackets were already set. just luck of the draw.

Thanks, stp, guess the SEC got unlucky in the regionals and super regionals?

i was pulling for La-La last night so the sec would only have vandy.

The slurpfest for the SEC would be excruciating if they had gotten 3 teams to Omaha. wonder how much will be made of the Big 12 getting 3.

CWS, US Open & World Cup all happening this weekend......Party at joeywa's. 1st keg is on me.
AND, as street mentioned, Father's Day, AND my daughter's HS graduation.

Come on over.  We'll have brisket, country style ribs and bacon wrapped pork skewers on the pit.  Keg of Shiner is still cold.  Party begins Saturday at noon PST.

If you win game 1 and 2 conceivably you could come back with your game one guy on 6 days rest in the pool championship game against a number 5 guy. It sets up very nicely.

Here are the odds for the College World Series. It's based on current rpi, sos, and isr. From Boyd's World.

UT-23.1%
virg-17.7%
tcu-17.7%
vandy-15.3%
ole miss-10.3%
tex tech-5.8%
louisville-5.3%
cal irvine-4%

The top 3 and bottom 3 are right in line with my thinking. I'd re-order the Top 3 though.

Writing up a preview and will have more then.

This really puts things in perspective
