Friday Night Lights – Week 14

They got some crazy talent on that team and they're not taking any prisoners at all. I'm surprised how far Gilmer has gotten this far this year due to the injury plaque they have dealt with
WR Kamden Perry...I'm trying to figure out why the kid doesn't have more offers. He legit....

Back in the late 60s and early 70s, a man by the name of Van Craddock was the sports editor at the Longview Morning Journal. Today, its the Longview News-Journal. I remember back then seeing Saturday morning sports sections that were 32 pages. Today, thats typically 6-8 pages.

Van Craddock is a legend for what he produced, for years, at the LMJ. Saturation coverage.

I did a short stint at the LNJ in my early years, worked for Sports editor John Inman and with Olin Buchanan there.

I'm hearing NE Texas is due stormy weather between 2pm and 6pm tomorrow (Fri).

Centered in I-20 region with the edges of it down toward Nacogdoches.

If anyone has good data/forecast on this, post away.

@Sirhornsalot Longviews QB is the coaches son and he's a straight runnin stud. I think TCU offered last week. He's special. 2020 I think
Yeah, I saw him last week. Cool operator. However, he did throw a couple up for grabs, one should have been an INT, that he won't get away with against better teams. Otherwise, he's a very good leader and has all the tools.

Newton 62
Troup 13  -- having just scored. Was 62-7 at half.

Announcers saying the Newton coaches are not aiming to push the score but need to give the players the work as they'll have tougher games coming up. To think teams play 6 games --another half a season -- to get to the title game, all the way to Christmas.
