Tom Herman secured a DOMINATE win over Louisville last night. There were reports that Greg Fenves was on the fence about even considering Herman for the job. My guess is that's not the case anymore. What a huge win for Herman that could have possibly earned him the Texas job if the dominos fall the right way.

I don't have much to say about Kansas. Check out my quick takes piece if you want some statistics on the Jayhawks. Long story short? They aren't great, but improved from last year. Texas has had trouble in Lawrence before. If it weren't for a 4th & 18 run by Vince Young in 2005, Texas would not have been in the National Championship.

What's on your mind? Let's do this!

Rumors of a major red flag was brought up on Herman this week. Any idea what that's about?

If CS is gone and we get Herman what will that do to recruiting
That's about the best case scenario Texas could ask for recruiting wise. Chaisson was very close, but now he really likes Houston. That being said, I think he's all Texas if Herman comes. Recruiting is not going well. Bama is gaining on Browning. It's likely Texas misses on Browning, Hines, Moses and Dobbins now.

The rumor is that he enjoys a drink or two or three or more. Supposedly someone connected to Houston made Texas aware of it just this week.

All sorts of speculation as to whether or not it is true. As well as who is behind it and the motivation behind it. Including Mike Perrin being behind it because he wants Strong, other schools because they want Herman, and even Major Applewhite for which no one really had a reason. Or at least a reason that made any sense whatsover.

Prior to last night's game, Vance Bedford tweeted good luck to Louisville.

Totally innocent tweet or does Vance think something is up?

On a scale of 1- Sarkisian how bad is said rumor?

If we don't land 1 of Browning, Hines, or Moses I'll be sick to my stomach.

Ranges from "his biggest vice is an occasional dip of Copenhagen" to "he has been known to over-drink on occasion".

Thinking is that there is someone has an agenda that wants to derail Herman to Texas. Most likely someone not associated with Texas. But is some thought that it could be.

Good grief

At the end of the day, Fenves is gonna do what the most influential BMDs tell him to do. Having said that, it's not unlikely this administration screws up and keeps CFS around after a lackluster 7-5 campaign. The thought of Herman at LSU makes me cringe.

We need a real AD in here pronto. Perrin is just keeping the seat warm.
