My family has mineral interest throughout north east Texas. Didn't know it extends towards granbury, though it stayed north east of granbury.

And yes, that is how we potty train our young... Teach them that we shit on OU.

Basically he says Charlie has failed, Herman is not any more of a sure thing than Charlie was three years ago and that Texas is toxic. He thinks Texas ought to go for Chip Kelly.

Chip Kelly has a very abrasive personality. Just watch some of his press conferences. There is no way Chip will survive at UT Austin, with the media demands and the booster demands.

The only reason Chip survived at Oregon was that it is a small media market and he only had one real booster he needed to keep happy.

Urban isn't coming to Texas. He started at Bowling Green. he is home and where he wants to be.

Jim Harbaugh isn't coming to Austin. Not sure we would want him.

John Harbaugh would spin his wheels for a while at UT because of recruiting. He doesn't have a strong relationship base of high school coaches to work with, he doesn't have a good feel for the available position coaches with good recruiting relationships and he would need time to make an adjustment. In short, he has some of the same problems Charlie Strong had coning here.

Dabo Swinney. A redneck from Alabama named "Dabo." In Austin. Winning over the UT alumni. Maybe 90 miles east, but not the UT Austin crowd. Not a good cultural fit.

Herman. Strong Texas recruiting relationships, strong understanding of available position coaches. Previously on the UT Austin staff. Actually is a UT Austin alum.

I would agree with you on that comment alone.  What he actually said was that a guy like Chip Kelly could and would win at UT.  He mentioned that at Texas there was too much of a demand for a guy that would confirm and try to be the "nice guy" to everyone.  In reference to culture, he said stop trying to mold your culture to fit everyone and just go out there, be yourself and win.  If you win, that becomes your culture and people jump on board because you are a winner, not because you tried to appease them.  Figured Kelly or someone like him would do his own thing and focus on football.  The BMDs would come around if you're winning games and championships.

Klatt has quickly become my favorite analyst in any sport.
