I'd say that this is a problem that needs to be corrected.  I tried to follow the baseball thread last night on my phone, but most comments were locked, as I had not signed up for Premium yet. 

One suggestion would be to make this a premium board, or at the very least let people view Premium threads without the ability to post on said threads. 

If something isn't done, it will most certainly erode your membership numbers.

This is being worked on right now. Hopefully a solution will be in place very shortly. In order to make the change, it will take time to get the coding and whatnot of stuff only geniuses like Aaron (bbdude) can take care of.

they're working on it.  they know the problems and are working to correct them.  please have patience.
