awesome report. i like the way Strong does things. It seems very understated and very methodical but very strategic and focused. I think he is going to be great, but it may take 2 or 3 years to start to see the fruit on the field. obviously, i am hoping for more and he does have some talent with which to work.

Count me in your group, McPhaul. I think the 2014 season will be a success -- I withhold my crazy prediction -- and perceptions will be very favorable heading into the holidays and bowl season. That will leverage into a solid 2015 signing and pave the way for 2016.

I like this guy, Josh White.

Not familiar with josh white. Is he a pocket passer, dual threat? Has awesome size for QB. Speed?

...just the other day, i told you all about the vibes... seems it's catching.

Is anyone else is excited as I am?
Yes. The message strong is sending about being accountable resonates with me. I think it will resonate with recruits and I'm sure it will resonate with mothers of recruits.

I put this on another/earlier thread on the Jr. Day.

Information on Josh White QB position:

edit: on the 40 time of 4.70 .... Late news tonight reported Manziel's time at the combine: 4.68

My excitement stems from the fact that I think the team is going to actually receive some coaching. We have always outrecruited schools like Baylor. But they have beaten us 3 out of the last 4. Coaching? I think so.

I'm trying to temper my enthuseism but after reading what the recruits said its hard not to be stoked about what's happening on the 40 acres.

This is absolutely the truth. This staff is all about development, about making players much better in their four or five years at UT. That's a sea change from the previous coaching staff. I'm sure some of those coaches could have been good teachers too, but I'm not sure how much Mack cared about that aspect of developing a team. He wanted a staff of good recruiters, and wanted to out-talent the teams on UT's schedule. I prefer the Strong approach for real long term success.

The positive reviews of the first junior day, and the positive responses of the players who attended it should be the first sign to all the Charlie Strong skeptics and haters that Strong IS organized, IS a great recruiter, and that there is nothing lazy about UT's new football coaching staff. I know some on this site will never forgive Strong for not being Nick Saban, but I'm betting some of those folks will be the first to jump on the bandwagon when Strong brings the team back to respectability. Day-by-day, Coach Strong is proving that he IS the right man for the job. I can only speak for myself, but I'm amazed at what he and his staff have been able to get done in a ridiculously short time. If others set unreasonable expectations of the new staff, I prefer to just sit back and watch the positive changes they're making around the football team.

I'm looking forward to the next junior day, and if he holds one, a sophomore day as well. I've seen absolutely nothing to indicate that this coaching staff can't get recruiting turned around, and make UT THE destination program again, no matter what any other school in Texas is or isn't doing.

This has been my exact thinking. Word for word.
