Manor OLB Erick Fowler may be headed to Austin soon. Both 247 and The Football Brainiacs are reporting Fowler achieved the necessary test scores to enroll in Austin per Fowler himself. I'm still attempting to get in contact with him, but those two reports are from reputable reporters.

Update: orabgebloods and other major publications are also reporting this. I spoke with Fowler who confirmed the same thing. Also, Gerry Hamilton of ESPN is reporting Southall is on track to make it for summer 2 session.

I don't want to be Debbie downer, but I talked to some people this morning who said its not all as good as it seems. I was told by them fowler has more issues than just test scores and it's a potential mistake that everyone just reported on his word. Let's see what happens in the next few days.

From Chris Hummer. This explanation makes the most sense to me. Hopefully, someone advises Fowler to keep pushing in summer school in case the SAT score isn't high enough based on his GPA. I posted the full text below so there isn't confusion. If there's a problem I can delete it. 

Update (11:15 a.m.) After doing some checking around this morning this Fowler situation is a little more complicated than first blush. Though, things still do look good for Fowler in terms of getting into UT. We had a few sources tell us this morning Fowler is currently in summer classes even though he's graduated as a kind of just in case to help out a test score he may have gotten on the sliding GPA scale.
Right now, Fowler still doesn't know if his test score matches up with the transcript to meet the grade/score he needs, according to the NCAA regulations. However, as Fowler was told last night, it's believed his score does meet that criteria. Fowler will also need to go through the NCAA Clearinghouse before he's good to enroll, which means checking to see if his test score will be flagged.
As it stands, things still look good for Fowler, it's just not as cut and dry as initially thought.

Hope he does make it in. He'll be behind a bit and probably won't have the impact that I hoped, but I'm sure that he can begin by being put in special packages and will still contribute. He's got some special talent. Good luck to him.

As you can recall, Fowler put out that he got his test score only for it to be flagged. Lets see how this plays out.
