Three seasons is all it took for Wade Griffin to take Elgin from a winless team to an undefeated season a District 17-4A championship, and a second trip to the third round. Griffin, the American Statesman’s All-Central Texas Coach of the Year for 2013 led the Wildcats to a 12-1 record last season will now move on to become the head football coach at Ft. Worth’s White Settlement ISD Brewer High School Bears.

Griffin has a career record of 110-45 and along with Crosby OC DJ Mann Jr are two guys you might be seeing at the next level one day soon.

Brewer was 3-7 last year with six losses coming by double digits, including a 70-7 demolition at the hands of Longhorns QB Jerrod Heard.

I don't know why WS Brewer can't keep a coach for more than one year. Maybe Griffin will change that.
