Did Texas make an Offer to John Harbaugh this past Tuesday

Now who has started this smoke or rumor.....I was just about to go to bed.

I wouldn't leave Texas for Michigan, but from all the things I have read and heard of John Harbaugh, I think he would hop the first snowmobile for Michigan.
...please, please, god please, please, please...

Harbaugh is begging for the college game. From what I've read Michigan would be a preferred destination but Texas would easily knock out Michigan due to numerous factors outside of the fact that we're just carrying a whole lot more cash than they are. There are lots of reasons to stay in Texas if you get the Texas job. You don't go from Texas to Michigan unless the wheels are falling off in Texas.
Don't forget the financial troubles that the entire state of Michigan are having. The money could dry up there.

If this is true.why would you offer a coach who it appears is begging Michigan to take him. His heart is with michigan. Not with Texas. TU would be dumped the first time Michigan called. Do you really want coach who is using you as a rest stop until another offer from michigan. I have read in other posts that harbough's dream job is Michigan.
Does John Harbaugh "Dream" of taking a 4 million dollar/year pay cut to move to Michigan? Texas seems to manage a way to make a "Good" coach happy enough to stay in Texas when others come calling.

Begging???? He may be exploring college options for the benefit of his family. He is rumored to have expressed an interest in Michigan before the UT job opened up.

So far Michigan hasn't expressed an interest in paying him 8 mil/year last I heard.

Yea, thats one of the numerous factors . . . plus the economy here is good.

We have talked figures but, no offer has been made.
Is Harbaugh seriously considering Texas? Would he take it if offered? I would rather have Harbaugh than Saban.

I don't get why everyone thinks Michigan is Johns dream college job. Isn't the only connection to UM is that his brother played there? Have I missed something else?

His Dad coached at UM, he grew up there and was constantly around the program. Ann Arbor is home.

As a graduate of UT and UM, I hope Texas gets John and UM gets Jim!

No, expressed interest from both sides, ball park numbers, etc... If anything happens with Harbaugh it will be when media attention is away from college football.

I wouldn't want to raise a family or put down real roots in Michigan.
Ann Arbor is completely different than what you might see in the Detroit area. Lot of similarities to Austin.

Why? Ann Arbor is a beautiful place to live and the University is one of the best in the nation. I am guess you have never been to Michigan, because it is a beautiful state.

Go Blue! I find many similarities between a Michigan man and Texas.
