Did Texas Contact Fisher or Not?

Those in the know: Can you clear this up? I have seen mixed message on whether Fisher was contacted and/or whether Texas actually received an indication regarding his interest. Was it just a case of Patterson not wanting to wait on Fisher and pulling the trigger?

I dont think most people know the answer to that. Most assume, like I do, that is Sexton and Patterson were friends and talked about Saban then they should have talked about Fisher.

It makes sense to see if there is interest on his part.

I wouldn't be shocked if Patterson and Fisher have not talked. ..immaterial. . .these discussions are going on with intermediaries. . .Has TEXAS talked to Fisher's agent? I have no first hand knowledge but would place a large wager on that having happened. ..

I would be willing to wager the Fisher's people told us no or Charlie (who I am very happy with) would not have gotten an offer. . .
