Details on DeMarcus Lodge

i was kind of surprised when wyatt wasnt retained.
Me too, but word is Koenning is a helluva lot better WR coach/offensive mind than Wyatt.  I guess Strong wasn't worried about his staff matching Wyatt's recruiting prowess.  Judgement call

'some'? pretty much just one guy wasn't it?
1 mentioned it in the Lodge thread. Several have talked about it in others (regarding other recruits).

I'm guilty of thinking that this story/Lodge's thinking is applicable in several cases. Not with Wyatt per se - it's easy to pin recruiting on Strong & Sumlin, but there's a lot more going on behind the scenes. I think this story illustrates that well.

So, you're saying that Texas as a school wasn't able to satisfy Lodge's goals at the collegiate level? Without Wyatt he views A&M as the superior option, I would say that is a win for us, not a loss. The timing of Lodge's announcement coincided with the Kyler commitment, it obviously has played a pretty significant role in where Lodge goes.

I work with high school student daily, and though they are often wary early, once they develop trust in a coach, teacher, or mentor, they are incredibly loyal. I would say they are so loyal that at times it is to their detriment because they are closed to new opportunities.

Hook 'em!

Who the hell is saying that? Koenning has had his play calling duties stripped in at least two of his previous jobs. I hope he does well here, but he's going to have to show me he's better than Wyatt because I would take Wyatt without a second thought.
