Cumbie is in Austin

Ok boys, just got off the phone with a friend. This is not the same one that I spoke with on Nov. 1. This guy is connected on the Cumbie side of things.

Cumbie is a done deal. Told me it has been for a while.

RB coach at Tech is coming with Cumbie.

OL coach at Az St is coming with Cumbie.
This is poetry in motion & Music to my Ears

😩😩😩😩😩

I just wrote up a burnt ends piece on potential staff hires and then ole Mark has to come along and post who I wrote about lol.

Well, they get a double dose this week like they did with the recruit performances last week.

I'm pretty happy about this news although I don't even know the names of the other two coaches. I'm going to look that up, but for now simply bringing Cumbie in is VERY encouraging. He's a helluva recruiter, too. So the timing is perfect.

The latest report said Cumbie and wife are returning to Fort Worth.

I'm headed to the airport with my homemade cake to meet him.

Hey, it works for Harbaugh.

Posted this on the other Cumbie thread but it applies here as well

Per Taylor Gaspar:

" A religious man, Cumbie was unable to consistently attend Sunday church services with his family while in Lubbock.

But that changed when he accepted the position at TCU.

Patterson not only assured him that he would be able to spend Sunday’s worshipping with his family, Cumbie was also allowed to have his family present in TCU's football facilities whenever possible, according to sources.

These two requests were very significant factors that played a role in Cumbie taking his family to Fort Worth, and quite possibly, could be important in his decision to accept a job with the Longhorns."

Not that it effects me, just curious on the Wickline lawsuit. We dump him and leave him hanging for the 600,000? It was him being sued not UT from what I remember. Interesting dynamics there.

Also, any OL recruits hinging on his employment?

tech has always had some high powered scoring offenses. I welcome all of these coaches.

The two coaches mentioned are home runs at their positions.  I'll have more info on them in Burnt ends

Can you do a segment on why Bear19 is such a malcontent? lol
