Ill take a stab at this:

The defense was not coached against BYU. They bent over, bit the pillow, and took it dry because they had a buffoon for a boss who knew going into this year there was no way he would retain his job. Greg Robinson is a professional who is also likely operating on the vailid assumption this is just a short audition. He can do whatever the hell he wants because there is no tomorrow, and the are kids responding to basic coaching.

Manny was retained because Mack didnt want to admit he was wrong, and knew he couldnt throw anyone else under the bus from there on out...there by inclining him to save it for a time where things REALLY hit the fan.

They beat OU because Blake Bell sucks, and he was so limited as a QB Heupel could do nothing but take his licks from Robinson, who himself probably took the day off mentally because his mind is far too advanced for an offense so damn bad.

No, this is Mack's last season. It is not his choice anymore.

Change takes courage... Its a hard thing to do. No one can get caught up with what was a glorious day on saturday. Fact is , it was just a little late. Dodds retiring, is the end for mack. University has to concentrate all its efforts on the AD Hire right now... Once a new AD is brought in, the chips will fall... Mack, Barnes... Augie will retire.

Key is the AD hire... Basically mack is on borrowed time... The OU win was worth a few more million in the buyout, thats it
