So on the suspected Tulsa team meeting tonight reported by InsideTulsaSports.com, I caught up with a connection from Tulsa who is very close to the program:

Me: What's this team meeting all about tonight? I dont mean to be rude but is this the "goodbye party" for Gilbert, or do you think that he wouldn't move that fast?
 

TU: Meeting not confirmed on my end yet.  I have a solid source and calling one this late at night is not their style at all.  It will happen quick when he decides.  Monty said as much today.  

Me: the big question on Longhorns fans' and media's minds is how much is Gilbert/Mattox responsible for the offense vs Montgomery?

TU: I like Gilbert a lot.  Young guy with passion and doesn't bullshit you on anything.  Would meet with him during game week and he is fun to be around.  We need to be clear about one thing though...its Monty's show.  Gilbert and MM are a part of it, but calling comes from Monty.  Gilbert was upstairs all year and MM down on the field.  He had input for sure and knows the offense extremely well.

What does "calling" mean?

Play calling or offensive game plan preparation?

Other site reporting that Cal OC Tony Franklin is the third candidate but that he might not interview because it's looking more and more like Strong is prepared to offer the job to Giblet - who will immediately accept.

Burton says Gilbert is likely to be offered the job and Gilbert is expected to accept
Gilbert hopes to bring Tulsa co-OC and OL coach Mike Mattox with him.
Strong probably will Interview Franklin but Strong will probably go with Gilbert.

Relax. Work is overrated. I've done very little of it this week and hated it.
