Confidence levels after Texas' first Elite Day

Lindberg- Med-High. Only don’t have him higher because of Stanford, but Texas has put itself in as good of a spot as anyone.

Broughton- Med. Broughton is the defensive equivalent of Lindberg. Cornerstone type of player that Texas has to land after losing out on Demarvin Leal last cycle. Texas has prioritized him accordingly, but will have plenty of competition.

Zach Evans - Low-Med. Every time you get a player of Evans’ caliber on campus it isn’t a bad thing, but this will go all the way to February. This one is a marathon so prepare accordingly.

Jase McClellan - Low-Med. Another highly rated in-state back that made his way to campus over the weekend. McClellan has been a Sooner pledge for some time now, but that did not stop him from making his way to Austin to meet with the staff. This certainly won’t be an easy flip by any means, but McClellan at least seems to be open to hearing Texas’ pitch and that’s a start.

Jake Majors - High - Majors is might be one of the most technically advanced OL prospects I’ve ever laid eyes on. Has a very high floor as a prospect and he loves Texas. He makes his decision on Thursday and it’s coming right on the heels of a great visit to Austin.

Bryson Washington - Med - With the way Texas has recruited at the safety position lately they’ve earned the right to be selective. Washington would fit right in with a safety group that is as talented as any in the country and he’s no slouch himself.

Jaylen Garth - Med-High - Garth is yet another high end offensive tackle who spent the past couple seasons protecting Roschon Johnson down at PNG. That connection to Johnson along with his love for the Longhorns could end up going a long way in securing his pledge.

Prince Dorbah - Med - Oklahoma looks to be the main competition here. The Sooners have done very well in Dallas over the years, but Texas has firmly put themselves in the picture for the edge rusher’s services.

Jaylon Jones - Med- High - Jones reportedly likes Florida a good bit, but Texas is right there at the top of his list. With guys like Caden Sterns on the roster, Texas has a strong ally in corner to go along with the proximity advantage.

Damieon George - Med - The massive tackle from North Shore could end up being key to landing his talented teammate, so he’s certain to see an uptick in attention from colleges across the country. If Texas is able to get guys like Majors and Lindberg in the boat this spring, then that could make linking up in Austin more enticing for George.

Kelvontay Dixon - High - Dixon is more than Keaontay’s little brother at this point, as he is plenty talented on his own merit to be playing at Power 5 conference come next year. Right now I think the chances of the the brothers playing together at the next level are pretty good and that’s good news for Texas.

Seems like we're in a good spot with several DEs: Broughton, Dorbah, Umanmielen, Collins.  Do we expect any of these guys to end up at NT?  After not getting a true DT in 2019 it seems like that's a need in 2020.
