Common Guy Prediction Thread – Okie St.

My heart says 41 - 17.  We add wrinkles on offense and continue to rack up yardage and points on offense.  Defensively, we figure out who and what needs to be done to get pressure on the QB, and play soundly on the back end to greatly reduce/eliminate explosive plays.  On paper, I feel like we have better athletes overall (personnel that can do these things), we just have to get the 'talent' to have a more complete showing on game day than we have thus far.    I'm just not sure this actually happens.   

My gut is leaning towards a close one, maybe a 38-35 game.  Being in Stillwater, who knows how this turns out.  We definitely cannot spot them 21+ points like we have in the past.

Well, I was saying before the season 1) the Cal game was going to be a huge trap game, and 2) OSU is/was overrated. Let's hope I'm right about both parts, not just the Cal part.

Texas wins 42-31.

UT shows up, wins and leaves that god forsaken state healthy. Why and how? I don't care.

I tried to give Charlie and Co. the benefit of the doubt and keep it simple. Guess not... I think they got out of that freaking pitiful state, but that's about it.

Definitely coaching, planning, and lack of emphasis on detail and basic fundamentals

Its crazy to a see a team rush for 300+ yards 2 weeks in a row and lose both games.

The team is very good and very bad at the same time.

Agreed.  In did the same hoping that the next game would be different.  He had 2 weeks to get this team ready and this is what he came up with? Sorry, no progress, no job.  Time for a change.

IMO, the three blocked PATs is the most revealing part of this game. There was no excuse for that. None. Fool me once,,  . . . . 

We don't fix issues in mid-game very well. On offense we've improved on this. Defense is where we get taken to task for our lack of response/adjustments.

The first block killed the momentum we were riding, right before halftime and allowed Okie State to lead at the half – with the momentum we had just given up.

We have our moments on defense. But we are inconsistent as hell and it just kills us.
