Zach Smith needs to get a life. #obsessionJoe Borrows only had one offer at a major school. That was at Ohio State because of Tom Herman
I’m not arguing your point, but it befuddles me why Hand is untouchable. Did anyone watch our OL play this year? Did anyone watch the OU game?Sad to see coach beck go, we will definitely miss his recruiting. I’m not gonna get excited about Yurcich until it’s official, the fun part will be figuring out who are assistant coaches will be. Hand and Drayton are the only ones safe. Washington is a good recruiter and worth keeping in some capacity but you gotta think ash will coach the DB’s
Well I'm hoping that it is a good game and Texas wins. I know Utah has a good record, but Texas may be healed up for a change and very well could win the game. I do think it was time to change the offensive and defensive coaches. My thoughts on Coach Herman is to let him stay for a long time. He is a good coach, I know many people want a coach fired anytime we do not win. Lots of injuries this year and very young players.Need to hire the right coaches, but in the meantime the Alamo Bowl looks like a likely curb stomping. I wish UT had skipped the bowl and spent the time to get their house in order for recruiting, staff hiring, and winning in 2020. Just my 2 cents.I like the hires and forecasted hires so far but I dread the thought of living with a bad loss all winter and spring.
I understand your point of view, but against Ga we were a lot healthier, deeper, more experienced, and had a full coaching staff. Besides, UT has all of my wifes money and that ought to keep the lights on in Austin. I don't know if more practice at this time is of much help. I'm just ready for 2020 and would just as soon forget this past season. I might be totally wrong about the bowl game, but the Horns just don't match up very well with the Utes right now.Teams will rarely skip bowls because it not only takes away extra practice time for the players, it takes away money the university and the conference would receive. Besides, wasn't Georgia supposed to stomp us last year?
It's the reason Beck was reassigned and we're looking for a new OC. Our play calls the last half of the year were a ton of slow developing, brutal plays to run for any OL, much less ours. Couple that with Mehringer possibly tipping off opposing defenses, per his apparent issue with Herman, and I'd have been surprised if any OL could have succeeded in that situation.I’m not arguing your point, but it befuddles me why Hand is untouchable. I agree, the right coaches being hired is critical. But personally, I'm glad we're in a bowl because the players earned it. It's a nice reward for a season of hard work. The players' families get to experience the events, too. Why deny that? Punishment? The bitter disappointment of being less than they could have been, playing in a lesser bowl, that's the punishment, but also an opportunity.Need to hire the right coaches, but in the meantime the Alamo Bowl looks like a likely curb stomping. You told me that bringing up this topic is whining and here you are. Oh well, here's something to go with it.Can anyone find out who was in the war room when Herman flipped off the camera? That might shed some light on who’s staying and going. I’d imagine guys staying would be in there celebrating with the head coach
As far as the OL, I haven't seen any improvement in the last few years. The Who said it best "Meet the New Boss, Same as the Old Boss". When are we going to break the cycle?I’m not arguing your point, but it befuddles me why Hand is untouchable. Did anyone watch our OL play this year? Did anyone watch the OU game?
