First up is offensive analyst Larry Fedora.

247 saying he is not expected to return in any role.

Worth mentioning that Bryan Carrington will be allowed to hit the road recruiting before the early signing day dead period as long as Herman gets rid of at least one assistant.

This isn’t a coaching change and I’m not sure if it’s been mentioned anywhere but prior to the Baylor game Brennan Eagles and Caden Sterns announced in one of their classes that they were going to enter the transfer portal. It may have been for attention but it was definitely said.

Hell yeah. Why is Hand safe while Drayton is out? It looks like it's the offensive line and not the running backs that's the problem. We rank 63rd out of 130 in rushing and 113th in sacks allowed. 

My hope is that we keep Drayton if that will keep Bijan.

Because of the horrific excuse of a slow developing offense Herman runs that telegraphs our plays, offers no motion to gain mismatches, and puts horrible strain above and beyond the norm of most college O-Lines.  Hand is making bad chicken salad out of Tom's chicken sh!t unfortunately.

Herman will have to make sure any blue chipper is locked up before his coach is let go..

the other determining factor is who is available and on the open market

just for the sake of discussion, say Muschamp becomes available, he may not get another HC job without taking a step back but do you pass on him as a DC  ?

That's not to say any or all of the three players involved won't enter the portal when it's all said and done. Doubtful on all three, but Texas could see one of the three enter it...

The portal is a new world we are in and we are not the only ones that will affect. Heck, just saw a report that it's expected that a 2018 5-star WR recruit at Penn State is probably going to enter the portal.

So, if your correct then we need to hire a top offensive coordinator, then hope Herman won't get in the way. Then hope Hand is doing a good job with the O-line. One of the important reasons that we hired Herman in the first place was because he was suppose to take care of the offense. It was the same when Charlie Strong had terrible defenses. This is depressing.
 
Why didn't we have this problem last year. Lil' Jordan Humphrey couldn't have been that important.
