Chip Brown Talking UT Football on the Bruce Feldman Podcast

One thing I do not agree with Chip on. I do not think the average Texas fan wants to play the faggies. They are the ones who walked out on the game. I do not care if we ever play them again.

this one conflicted me for a time. i'm an old guy who saw every UT/aggy game from ''73-'11. i loved the tradition and few things felt better than walking out of kyle field  wearing orange in victory. none sweeter than 2011.

having said that, F the ags. they wanted out of big brother's shadow. fine. go. they're 15 minutes is about to be done.

scoreboard forever. 76-37-5.

I agree Doug. I never want to play them again and neither do any of my friends.

actually, i am with coach strong's approach whenever it pertains to atm.  i would welcome the gridiron matchup.. as per two of this state's key competitors!  imo, i view it as downright SILLY SEASON rhetoric, to constantly keep harping upon the aspect that atm left the conference.  (WHO FREAKING CARES) shouldn't we commence to solidifying our conference's ongoing achievements, by supporting the opportunity to BEAT THAT ASS while they are now entertaining the sec..  i certainly thinks so!

We already beat Aggie's ass. . numbers all horns should know. . .28-0   27-25 . .. 76-35-5 . . .

First last most .. . .

They left for the same reason Neb did. . . .  .they couldn't win on the field and $$$$$$

Chip's comments on Steve Patterson as an "enigma" are interesting. And that Patterson is treating the job as a GM and international marketer make me think this AD situation is being viewed as a growing question mark, at least by a few of the BMD's.

Of course, Patterson's real initial evaluation comes this Fall with football. Chip (and Bruce Feldman) made it clear Stong needs some time to change/develop the program, but in part due to Patterson's "lone wolf" hire approach, many of those same BMD's aren't willing to wait out 2-3 more 7-8 win seasons for either guy to turn it around.

Chip's comments and comparison of Oliver Luck to Steve Patterson tell me there may be some buyer's remorse seeping in about our AD.

Still very early in his tenure, but 2014 football (especially early) could be a more scrutinized barometer on Patterson than he'd probably prefer.
