Texas better step it up. BYU drove down the field on the first possession. Diggs better play tighter coverage.

With 7:23 left in the first BYU looks like the New Engalnd Patriots.

This game is getting out of control quick. Texas cannot keep the offense on the field without going 3 and out. The defense has to be tired as hell.

If there is a football god, he will have Gilbert transfer..Hopefully I will never see his sorry ass in a game again.

Defense picked it up a bit and players have to happy our young QB'S are in the game.

Gilbert happened. MAck needs to make a decision on Ash or McCoy and stick with it. He is losing the confidence of the fans while Gilbert might as well transfer.

Yea it is obvious the kid has lost his confidence. I don't like the alternating QB thing with Ash and McCoy..I think this underscores how Mack feels about the QB position. Crazy because they hire a total crazy freak at OC and he is going to have and dumb it down for the young uns..

Agreed. Ash is 1-1 with 26 yards and he is also tied for the lead in rushes - 2 for 15 yards. The numbers don't lie. ASH needs to play the rest of the game at qb. No consistency with playing 2 or 3 guys. Send in the ASHMAN!

I'm down with Lancer16. Ash looks like he is ready to go. He has a "pop" to his step that the other two do not have. Let him ride.....

Well boys I could not disagree more..Baby McCoy is the real deal but this team found itself tonight. The defense WOW and the offense with either of the other young guys at QB worked..It doesn't hurt when you have a running attack and a mad scientist at OC..

Great win and I feel sorry for Garrett but he had to go..

Gilbert might want to think about transferring. He is probably a good guy but between McCoy and Ash he doesn't have a chance. I will have to say that Chase McCoy showed me a lot tonight. That McCoy/Shipley combo looked pretty powerful tonight when it mattered. Great win for Texas and they need to go back to the drawing board to get ready for UCLA. We owe those sonofabitches for last year and the 66-3 shredding they put on us years ago. I hate California football.

Interesting that tonight for the first time I heard Malcolm Brown had a hamstring problem and was sidelined for two weeks, only coming back last week against rice..

We need to see more of him and Shipley..It is scary how McCoy and Shipley look like their big brothers..The whole team picked up when Gilbert went out. These young kids are going to be something special in a year or two. Nobody will want to play them and Brown may win a Heisman. You heard it here first..That last run for a first down was something we haven't had in years..

I am geeked and can't wait to get those pansy ass Bruins..We got a giant can of whoop ass for the assholes..

Plus I just read on Twitter that Troy Aikman wished he could be at the game..Yea right, F@#K him too!

GG should contact St. Edward's or Texas State about a transfer. It is difficult to be critical of a Texas qb because they are in it for the right reasons - to win for Texas. It must be extremely tough for GG to not perform as expected since his dad was an NFL player, etc. Nothing personal but he was not effective. Maybe a transfer will give him a new start with a new confidence. The McCoy and Ah era looked good tonight. let's go get UCLA.

So true..I have railed against GG forever but now I feel a kind of sadness for a young man that has lost his confidence and my be in the wrong system. He needs to be in a pro set not a spread. I wish him the best and he does need a new start..

I listened to Mack after the game and he said Ash was limited because they have only put in two or three plays for the QB..They better get that fixed because it looks like a two QB system this season. It was also amazing to see the difference in the defense when the offense didn't put them in a hole..
