Burnt Ends (2-23)

"Men fall in love with what they see. Women fall in love with what they hear. That explains why men lie and women wear makeup." - Morgan Freeman
I love Morgan Freeman.  He is brilliant.

Freeman once said to Mike Wallace  - "How do we get rid of racism?  Stop talking about it".

Simple, yet succinct.

LOL! This could apply to women as well.

I've lived longer than I probably should, but along the trail I've learned a few things.

I can only say this from a personal viewpoint, but I think it applies to most.

Every day I see the love of my life is still like the first day I fell in love with her. She is just that amazing.

Am I right, men?
Absolutely çorrect, Doc. My bride is now 66 and becoming more beautiful to me every day. She is still the same sexy doll I was attracted to, but that pales compared to her inner beauty that she has shared with me for over forty years. I have been truly blessed.

I am amazed how your opinion is the only one with any weight. I do not intend to get into an argument with you, but I have my right to my opinion- you do not necessarily need to agree.  I can only remember the injury to Taylor which was for about 10 games, the concussions to Felix & Holmes- about 4 games.  We have not lost anyone for the season to my knowledge.  For a season of approx. 25 games, I don't consider 14 games missed due to injury would be considered major.  A well coached team, believed to be top 10 before the season, should be able to overcome that.

I can only say this from a personal viewpoint, but I think it applies to most men:

A man will lust after beauty and sexy and want to bed the woman that possesses these "attributes".  But, even more so, a man will wife a woman that is comfortable in her skin, intelligent, has a lusty sense of humor and enjoys doing most of the things that her man does.  Opposites may attract, but opposites get divorced too.

Every day I see the love of my life is still like the first day I fell in love with her.  She is just that amazing.

I'd have an answer for that one Snide, if I could ever hang on to a wife.  I've had three of 'em...I finally took to heart what my old man used to tell me..."Son, you don't have to marry everybody you date."

I actually like hearing about the Swoopes/Heard progress and competition.  This is the first info I have heard about Jerrod finally deciding to compete.  It makes him better and it sure makes Swoopes better.

That bodes well for the coming season, IMO.

Now, if the both of them just had an OL that will block for them and the RB's, we stand to be an offensive threat for a change.

Hell, Cool, you must have quite a line.  If you found 3 women willing to marry you, you have SOMETHING going for you. ;)

Is Heard a fast guy? Swoopes' quickness comparable to Heard is quite puzzling for me.
Off-Season workouts aren't the best determinate of speed or quickness on field. Jamies Winston just ran a 4.99 in his NFL combine 40... If you had me estimate his 40 yd dash time from his game film... I would NEVER guess 4.99.

You'd be surprised how much slower someone is when they're thinking the whole time instead of just acting.

Augie Garrido talked about this in his post game comments last night - in his words, as soon as players start 'trying', they fail.

LOL! Good one, STP, but truth is, we went wild many years ago when we smoked our first Lucky Strike cigarette. Everyone knew then that that led to our first beer and from there, straight to prison.
L&M Cigs, drunk at the Saturday night western dance and have your wife drive you home after the dance and getting on you when you kept your eyes open looking at the other ladies, while you were dancing with the beautiful wife of yours.......
