Bruce Feldman: Major is Getting a Lot Condideration for Florida OC

Don't see recruits going with him.....they know he may just be the 1 and done also.

Muschamp is just being pragmatic....He knows he is coaching for his job, its a one year project...His former OC was Brent Pease from Boise State, with Major he is familiar with the offense after meddling in the playbook with Harsin....Florida does not have the luxury of learning all new terminology and teaching QB Driskell a whole new playbook....with Major its not a complete overhaul, Muschamp is rolling the dice and hoping that he can capture lightning in a bottle..Major is in no position to argue, he needs a job, if this doesnt work he will have to start all over again maybe as a HS coach somewhere in Texas

if Major gets the FL gig i wish him well - would not be surprised if WM did hire major due to their familiarity with each other - but as OC ?? i don't know if that is the best choice- maybe as QB coach as mentioned in another post

If Muschamp hires Major, Florida would be my favorite SEC team. If there is such a thing.

Major's stock has not dropped that far. Worst case he will be a position coach based on his recruiting alone. Texas Tech just lost their QB coach to TCU.
