Why the freak out over where a guy comes from..Saben came from Mich St... urban from flipping Utah. How many of you guys have actually watched Franklin? His team competes, something this team did not. I would be happy with him or Strong, both strong recruiters. I do prefer strong because he seems to crack the whip a little more.

I think Franklin is a great coach, but the jump from Vanderbilt to Texas is HUGE. I would like to see him at a mid level school with some resources like Missouri, Illinois, or even Penn State under the current situation before I could trust him at Texas.

Louisville is one of the better athletic departments in the country with a good following. I trust Strong.

Just curious, the word underwhelming made me think. What does a coach have to have done, meaning NC, Conference Championship, turn a small program around, win with lesser talent and resources to make him acceptable in your mind as a worthy candidate. Which one of these is most important to you?
