So, Holland is supposed to visit for this charity game. Has aleady done 2 visits to UCLA and will make 1 more visit to Arkie.  But won't make a decision until spring.

BTW,  any thoughts on Z. High a 4 star that is a 4 with long range shooting ability? Not going to call a high schooler a stretch 4 until he can show he can shoot from  deep in college.  But would Beard take both. I would hope so.
Ditto, I would definitely hope so.

Who do you think wins a Natty first? Beard or Vic?
This is a good question.

Vic is definitely ahead of Beard when it comes to building a real monster of a team. Problem is in the women's game there are already some well established beasts to be slayed to win a NC.

Beard is building a highly competitive team and bringing in some dudes. There is more parity in the men's game and a bit more possibility for any team in the top 16 or so of the nation to get hot in March and win it all.

I think I'd vote Vic, because he and Texas together have the ability to build a UConn-esque squad pretty quick.

? Definitely more parity in men's basketball than women's. I see the women's team being more like the baseball team that makes it to the elite 8 more times but is difficult to win it all. Nothing wrong with that. The men's will be in the tournament but much harder to get past a sweet 16 game. They can become frequent members of the sweet 16 but occasionally a final 4.

With that said, I say they both win it the same year. ?

Fixed it for you (note for the boomers, FIFY is the abbreviation for this saying)

A few years ago I never thought we would be talking about our basketball teams in reference to a Natty. Nobody’s laughing now. CDC has done a good job of building our teams up to a high level.

Vic. Beard will be lucky to make the sweet 16 this year. Vic has a final 4 caliber team.

Probably right. Kansas and Baylor aren't going away. But we should be better than tech and tcu.  Better depth, better shooting, and better team play this year.  Morris and D. Mitchell are better players and Rice is a better shooter. If everyone understands their role we can challenge for the conference title, but those 2 will be difficult outs.

Vic. Both are great coaches, but you don't see many great shooting nights on the women's side as you do the men's side. Just look at UNC last year as a #8 seed I believe. Or the non Smart coach we just had woth both pf his VCU teams.

That is one big kid. Hopefully he keeps developing his game. He might be a cross of KD and Miles Turner. Would love to get him to Texas. Bet several big time players would come here to play with  him.

Just got a crystal ball for Ron Holland to Texas. #1 player in Texas for 2023, #10 in the country.
He was down to Texas, Arkansas, Kentucky, and UCLA.
Beard is building something ?
Kate wants to know if there's a reason for her to get out of bed for this. Is it imminent? lol
