While I'll won't lie and say that I'll miss Ramey. I do wonder if the getting in teammates faceson stuff that he has done himself didn't go over well with Beard. His minutes were about the same or more this season, his defense was definitely better most nights, and his shooting percentage I believe was up this season. But the last one might be do to others doing more offensively as a team.

I would also wonder that if the 3 freshmen coming in and with the possibility of both Carr and Jones coming back has him wondering about the minutes.

I really wasn't sure about his stats so I had to check them out. Minutes dropped from 33 to 30, though 30 minutes of PT is plenty. His scoring was down a bit but that isn't surprising given the pace that Beard likes his team to play. He had a pretty good year shooting the 3 last year at 41% but was only 35% this year.

This doesn't show up in the stats but his biggest asset was his lock down defense. He gets a lot of credit for our win over Kansas and he did a great job against the stud guard from Purdue, especially in the 1st half.

I'd imagine he'd have a pretty good role on this team if he did come back but I agree, some of that may be eaten away by some of the incoming guys.

First and foremost, as I said which seems to be difficult for you to understand I won't lie about how I felt with Ramey. Him getting if teammates faces is NOT his job, but he felt it was. Betting Beard and the staff told him as much. Unlike that cupcake Shaka, who played it off.

Yes, is defense was way better this past season, but will he be remembered for his defense against one of the best 2 guards in our games against Kansas, or for his inabilities on defense against the possible #1 PG from Perdue, or the guard from KSU at home, or the guard at Okie lite at Okie lite, or the guard from Iowa State at ISU, and I could go on but why.

I didn't have to look up his stats as Horns247 had them posted when it was announced for the NBA and portal.

Now, he could be still come back yes. But no one will know until he makes his final decision. Yet, we are also waiting on A.J., Carr, and Allen to make their decisions as well.  Thus, if they do come back with Askew and Morris and the other guard all being true PGs and A.J. and Carr possibly coming back to be more true 2 guards and both Allen and D. Mitchell being players that could be 2s, 3s, or 4s makes his role as you claim to be big an assumption.  If you are assuming  this then you are making an what of yourself?  We won't know anything until we see who comes back and what this staff brings in.

Also, you seem to know the offense we ran? Please clue everyone else on that as I saw different types of offenses ran and as a coach, you can run different offenses depending  upon the opposition, but you keep the general principles on offense and we didn't do that.

Emphasis needs to be placed on shooting this off-season. We weren't very good at it for long stretches of time this past season.

You seem to take every reply I make as some personal attack, It's not, I am just having a discussion. I'm happy to have a back and forth on sports opinions, but I am going to ask you to stop questioning my ability to understand your points and reasoning.

Yes, I hear what you are saying about Ramey's approach with teammates. That could honestly go either way. Either he is a hot head who is making things worse, or he is a fiery extension of the coach and is enforcing Beard's culture. We don't really know which is the truth but Beard and Ramey do.

All I said about the offense was that Beard likes to play a slow pace (which therefore reduces possessions and overall scoring). Texas was one of the absolute slowest paced teams in the NCAA this year (based on possesions per game), Virginia Tech was right there with them which made that first round matchup an interesting one. They ended up blowing the over-under out of the water actually.
