The Longhorn baseball team jumps back into the Top 25 this week according to www.D1Baseball.com

Additionally, the RPI jumped 10 points after the weekend sweep in Stillwater. Horns sit at 26 RPI and 33 SOS.

All good news but Texas cannot afford to take any games off in this final two week stretch.

I do not believe we are a top 25 team. But if the experts do then so be it. I will not argue.

Correct me if I'm wrong (and I know you'll do so gladly), but you don't necessarily have to be a #1 seed to host, correct?

That is correct. But even then only high #2 seeds get to host and it is a rare occurrence. Maybe one regional a year.

Yep.  It all depends on how the committee manages the teams that make the tournament.  The committee tries to keep travel down and balance the number of regionals across the country.  If that means a high 2-seed gets a host, so be it.

I am also pretty sure they look at seating capabilities of a number two seed compared to the number one.
