Will he coach the final year of his contract ?

What do you think it will take for him to stay ?

Who do you think replaces the guy ?

I personally think he will be here next season; right, wrong or indifferent.

Will set the baseball program further than Mack left football if this happens.
I don't disagree, but I think Augie will try his best to get another year to finish his contract.

There are so many ways this could play out, especially with an interim AD, that it's really up in the air right now.

My personal opinion is that he is able to convince the AD that he should be allowed to stay. Don't know how he'd do this in any convincing fashion, especially after how this team has played lately, but I think he will be successful in doing so.

I may be completely off base.

Coaching future aside, this team is at the bottom of the pond right now. No drive, no will to win.

Texas still has an interim AD. My guess is Augie has another year, love it or hate it.

Yay lets drive the program further into a complete laughing stock.

Find me somebody not in Augie's will that will 'love it'.
I suspect (fear?) you and Joey are right. I doubt an interim AD has much appetite to force out a legend and eat his buyout. And let's face it, baseball means a lot to many of us but it's not as important to a lot of folks.

It's time for him to go. I don't think Perrin pulls the trigger.
Not unless he's getting a lot of pressure from donors and people in his inner circle. I don't claim to know who those folks would be, but I just honestly don't know if there is enough push for him to do anything.

Who do you think replaces the guy ? *** Saban.

A friend of a friend of a friend saw Saban's wife house shopping here in Austin a couple of days ago.

Anybody have any idea who they'd like to replace Augie with ?
Your list should be

O'Conner (Virginia)

O'Sullivan (Florida)

Corbin (Vandy)

Make those three tell you 'No.'

If you whiff on all three, then you start looking at names like

Savage (UCLA)

Casey (Oregon St)

McDonnell (Louisville)

Next tier is

Tadlock (TT)

Hefner (Dallas Baptist)

Bakich (Michigan)

Some may ask about Schloss at TCU, but I don't think he is a good fit here.

 So no Harrington ?

I don't think if you're Texas you go after Harrington. This program is still one of the best jobs in the country; as such you aim high. I like what Ty has done at Texas St, but I think that Texas has to shoot for the moon here.
