So Arkansas, barely .500, who hadnt won an SEC game in like a zillion years or something, shuts out Ole Miss and LSU in successive weeks. The same Ole Miss who beat Alabama. The same LSU that Alabama had to go to overtime to beat. So does this mean Arkansas should be in the Top 5 or that the SEC is a bunch of overrated .500 teams living off ESPN hype? I'm sure they will sky rocket into the top 5 next week.

TCU or Baylor would win the SEC going away.

I don't know what it means.  I watched most of the second half of the game...the portion that wasn't interrupted by the loss of service (Dish) due to heavy rain.  Ole Miss looked absolutely incompetent.  I think the SEC is incredibly over-rated, but what do I know.

On Texags they are predicting that it will be a Texas-Arkie Bowl game.  They are relishing the thought and are processing it in typical SEC SEC SEC fashion, which I just don't get.  I guess to each his own.  I've always viewed them as an annoying little brother, and only get angry when they pull some stupid prank like they did before the Bonfire game - posting room numbers on the internet, calling player's rooms all night, having breakfast cancelled, etc., etc.  I was in the stadium and knew about it before the game ended.  I was hot.  They will never outgrow their all-male school origins.

I'm glad we will play a Bowl game, but a bowl game against Arkie holds no excitement for me.  It may just be the fact that they threw things at us in their stadium - usually various fruits and vegetables, but sometimes bottles and cans.  Whatever.

Hook 'em!

With that defense playing great and a solid run game to go along with some newfound confidence, they will be difficult to defeat. I don't know about the rest of the country, but that has been the way to win the SEC for the most part, and I don't expect that to change much. I do however agree that Ole Miss played very poorly today and never gave themselves a chance in this one.

Arkansas shut-out 2 ranked teams in back-to-back weeks.  Impressive stuff by the Hogs.

We have made our living this year stopping the run and daring teams to pass.  I would bet the farm, if I had one, on a Strong/Bedford defensive game plan against Arkie.  I also predict that our passing game improves by leaps and bounds between now and the bowl game.  I simply don't think Arkansas holds any appeal.  It's kind of like kissing your sister, if you get my drift.

Arkansas left the SWC for the SEC, and for the last 10 years or so, they have turned over every possible rock to play a game in Texas.  I say not only no, but hell no.  If we want to play a natural and attractive opponent in A&M and the SEC says no thank you, then they don't get to say that we play Arkie instead.  Screw the SEC.  It is not all about them.

You mean the TCU team that almost lost to the Kansas Jayhawks?  The same Kansas team that has been the cellar dwellar for 3 yrs now?

Baylor?  Ah the team that just gave up 28 points to OSU cowboys who havent had any offense since they lost their starter QB.  Now a true frosh QB is ripping them apart.

Yea somehow I can see both TCU and Baylor beating Alabama, Ole Miss, Miss St, Auburn, LSU....(*cough)

Or Bama, who beat sub-500 Arkiesaw by 1 point? The OWNER of the SEC West cellar? Who just won their first SEC game in TWO YEARS?

Or the way they beat West Virginia by only 10? The same West Virginia team we just punked?

You can play with scores and spreads so many ways, it really doesn't tell you a whole lot. We see the SEC homers, of all people, do this a lot. But again, take one look at those OOC opponents and try to contain your laughter. It's hard. lol

Championship teams don't always play up to their potential. But they find a way to win even when their play sucks.

Florida State finds ways to win every game, but their play sucks. Will enjoy seeing them play a real good team.

The SEC is in some of y'all's head. Bad.

One day, some day, you'll make a substantive point on this. Have no idea what it will be but I look forward to it.

But for now, you seem content lobbing generalizations from the cheap seats. One cannot determine which side of this you're speaking to. Those are who attached at the hip or those who refuse the kool aid?

i thought my point was substantive. perhaps it was over your head.

I'm surprised you worked in a verb, much less a point. Oh wait, you didn't. Like I said, who knows who you were talking to?

the same WV team that should have beaten TCU.  For that matter we should have beaten Baylor.  We shut out Kansas which almost beat TCU.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if we trounce TCU, well if we can move the ball in the second half.

There isn't any dominant teams this year.  Parity.

The one team that plays to the level of the competition is FSU but they get the win in the end.

The way Arkansas is playing right now, they could probably win the NC.  Compare the so called "Cellar Dwellars" Arkansas or Kansas.
