SignUp Now!Because the starting QB was injured?Case got his job because of this same kind of judgement.
Watching him plays tells me that. Maybe he'll show more in the bowl game.Swoopes couldn't win at a 2a school and couldn't beat out McCoy as the backup, tells me maybe he isn't the answer.
Well, I can't speak to your sanity, but I think if Swoopes plays significant minutes in the bowl game it will give us a good indication of his ability to lead the team next year. As for Saban, as much as I would like to see him here you're probably right.Saban is not coming to Texas, and Tyrone Swoopes is the next QB of the Longhorns. Stop it. Tell em Foghorn.

AgreeI don't think Swoopes is the answer right now, BUT, those thinking Heard is ready to lead a Top 15 college program his true freshman year are also wrong. This team needs a JUCO QB in the worst possible way.
Game. Set. MatchSwoopes is a project. I've been lambasted by Ketch et al on OB for saying this ever since his junior year when they were still recruiting him. All I heard was, "...he has all the tools..." but I kept saying it's one thing to have all of the tools but quite another if you don't know how to use them. Then came all of the comparisons to VY. Then his abysmal senior season in class 2A. Now they still say he's the future of Texas at QB.
So let me ask all of my friends here an honest question. Does anyone think that right now, this very day, is Swoopes a better QB than Jarrod Heard?
The defense rests.
Hook'em!

When you state something categorically like that it does not come across as a sane statement, unless you are privy to something that others are not.Saban is not coming to Texas, and Tyrone Swoopes is the next QB of the Longhorns. Stop it. Tell em Foghorn.

i see what you did.am i the only insane person that believes that saban could be the coach here and that swoopes may not be the starting qb at texas is a possibility?![]()
I do not know the dogs name, but he has a left ear infection.Nice dog..is his name Dude?
Case McCoy's persistent presence on the UT roster, let alone depth chart (and not a D-II school's), is a key reason why Mack Brown will not be on the sideline next year.Swoopes couldn't win at a 2a school and couldn't beat out McCoy as the backup, tells me maybe he isn't the answer.
When you put Foghorn Leghorn in a post, it usually indicates the poster is having a bit of fun. When you state something categorically like that it does not come across as a sane statement, unless you are privy to something that others are not.
Swoopes is not the answer, never was the answer and never will be the answer. I did a little personal write up on 247 along with personal videos and stills way back and even interviewed some of his teachers and administrators in the stands at a couple games. He's a great kid and took care of his grades and such but he just doesn't have "it" on the field. That district he was in was terrible and when it didn't go well, I never saw Swoopes put a team on his back and overcome bigger odds.
Sorry for the long post but we have a real conundrum at QB and I know Heard desperately wants a R/S but if we do not get a JUCO QB, he will have to be in play as a Fr.
