if this was an insurrection then so we’re all the other riots that went against police officers and not one media outlet gave a damn. I look at this as an act of violence but I haven’t heard anyone say they were going to kill Congress. A lot of the pictures I saw the rioters didn’t even have guns. As far as the woman that got killed I do wish the officer who shot her would be named and have a full investigation. Maybe someone should ask Pelosi why there weren’t more police officers there. I also saw video of police letting them in and no one was attacking them.

Ah yes, the equivalency flag.  Let's delve into that a bit.  The insurrection on Jan 6 was solely against federal employees on federal property.

D.C. Police - These are federal employees.  An act of violence against them is a federal crime.

U.S. Capitol - This is US Gov't property. One of the more iconic buildings in the U.S.  Crimes committed on this property are federal crimes.  Violence and destruction was exclusively on federal property.

Guns are not the only weapons that can cause harm to federal employees.  One report, I've posted, an insurrectionist had a gun.  There were probably more but many of the criminal insurrectionists were allowed to just leave.  So we'll never know how many others had guns.

What's ironic is that the GOP that are trying to rewrite history by making statements like, normal tourist visit and downplaying the insurrection, were running away from it on Jan 6.  If it was just a normal visit then why run?
