I don't know enough about the '89 team, but this year's team had 13 draft picks. 

Pretty incredible they weren't even able to make a CWS this year.

That team wad 58-7 overall 17-4 in conference and had 9 players selected that year including Chuck Knoblauch.

The reason I remember the 89 team is because when the Horns made the CWS (ended up 2nd losing to Wichita St) after losing the series to aggy during the season in dramatic fashion and twice in the SWC tournament, Coach Gus asked the famous question "Where are the Aggies?". aggy not making the CWS that year still haunts every aggy I know. Too bad Texas didn't win it, would have just made it sweeter.

He actually hit a walk off grand slam in game 1 and walk off three run jack in game 2 on the same day.

I just like how the SEC and ACC tanked headed to the CWS.

They loaded the regionals and got taken to the woodshed.

I was so busy I didn't realize the Supers until they were over.

Nice long hot summer over in CS.
