Any names, throw them out here.

OC - Tom Herman

OL/Running Game Coordinator - Joe Wickline

TE/RC - Tim Brewster

WR - Darrell Wyatt

RB - Ricky Williams or Major Applewhite

Bedford did not coach the secondary at Louisville

DC - Vance Bedford

DL/RC - Ed Orgeron

LB/ST - Mike Tressel

DB - Ron Cooper

I believe they've said that Strong is gonna bring his own LB coach and RB coach also, but if he doesn't I truly think we need to keep Larry Porter

This comes from an 24/7 user by the username,LotusHorn. Supposedly, he's been surprisingly accurate the past few days.

He thinks Strong is bringing from Louisville:

Vance Bedford - DC

Brian Jean-Marie - LB & Recruiting Coordinator

Kenny Carter - RB

Pat Moorer - S&C

Porter is a good recruiter.

I don't understand why he wants his assistants, outside of his coordinators. I know there's loyalty and familiarity, but this is a big job with big expectations. He can hire way more qualified staff members. Texas ties also need to be found.

That is a staff I could get very excited about. That is a staff that would cause some fear among the Big 12.

Good to see you here Cosell, hope you've been well.

True we do need to get guys with Texas ties. But you also need a few guys with familiarity to his style of coaching and how he runs things

Thanks... why would you want Kenny Carter over Larry Porter, Major Applewhite? Maybe over Ricky, but I think Ricky is going to be a great running backs coach.

@BobbyBurton247 7m

Source tells Horns247 that Lville assts Vance Bedford, Brian Jean-Mary and Pat Moorer will follow Charlie Strong to Austin.

Hard to doubt Burton after making the call on Strong.

Doing good. What do think about Strong, SHA?

I agree, it is very important to have a couple of guys on both sides of the ball that know Texas and how to recruit here. Briles, Sumlin, Stoops, Gundy and Patterson all know how to recruit the state of Texas. We need a few guys that know the lay of the land.

I guess he's bringing Brian Jean-Mary, who is probably his most respected position coach, and I'm sure being a defensive mastermind it's more about comfort. I kind of figured he was going to brought along, but not the running backs coach. I only put Tressel on the list as a wish list candidate. I found his resume and bloodlines strong and his special teams very good as well.

I can't remember who posted this, but during the chaos when the name Charley Strong first got really thrown out there they said regarding Nick Saban something like "Nick is getting older. Maybe we need to be looking for the next Nick Saban."

That has stuck in my head ever since I read it. The more I read about Strong, the more I think we may have the next Saban or coach with Saban-like success. I'm liking it a lot - but with the staff you listed, I'm in love with this series of hires (if close to your list of names). I think we'll get to see what kind of recruiter he's going to be in the next three weeks or so, that should be very interesting.

Are you hungover about this? Or have you embraced it?
