Hawaii is 6-6 and has played all 12 games at home. Their SoS is solid (58), but if you look at their record it tells a pretty clear story....4 losses to Oregon, then 4 wins over Albany, then a 2-2 split with Pepperdine. (For frame of reference, Oregon is pretty good; Albany is terrible; Pepperdine is just outside the Top 100 in RPI.)

- They scored 14 total runs in the 4 games against Oregon. They scored 35 total against Albany.

- The pitching/defense tells a similar story, but it's only about a 95% difference instead of 150%. Their differential is only about +0.5/rpg.

- Texas will start French tonight. Then Thornhill & Peters in tomorrow's doubleheader. Schiraldi gets the nod on Sunday. With Thornhill starting on Saturday, watch the relief rotation this weekend. Even though Save opp's might not be plentiful, there should be clues about who the coaches favor. At the very least, I expect that Garrido/Johnson will use these games to help solidify the rotation.

- Despite playing the toughest schedule in the country so far, Texas leads all Big 12 teams with a 1.96 ERA. In the last 47 IP, their ERA is 0.77 (5-game winning streak.)

Like the move of Thornhill back to SP.

Should be an entertaining series. UH typically plays sound baseball and they tend to be pesky and play hard until the final out.
