A big name coach called last night

Meyer would be a completely off the charts a good hire.
Doubt he could handle the pressure at Texas. I, personally, don't want Meyer anywhere near the Texas program. Muschamp is about to lose his job attempting to clean up the shit show Meyer left.

I don't think tOSU job is his dream, he may have grown there and they have been his favorite team...but, do you think MB would have left UT for FSU?

Harbaugh is only a candidate if they win a SUper Bowl, and again, No Chance in Hell he comes. Nor would it work. Texas cannot wait until after the Super Bowl to get him because that will be after National Signing Day. Never going to happen. That would be irresponsible for the program. Whatever rumors you may hear on Harbaugh, that is all they will ever be. Discount them right away.

Meyer - same thing. Trust me, he is not bored at OSU and will not leave until he gets a National Championship there. It is one of the top jobs in the country, in a talent rich state, there is a ton of talent there, and he was only a quarter away from playing in the National Championship game. He is not coaching a program on the decline (no matter how much people like to think that). Again, whatever rumors out there on Meyer, are not realistic, and a waste of time.

Malhzan - I can see, same with Fisher, but must wait until January 6 to make a move. Will be interesting if they want to wait on them. I still don't think either of them are realistic because of the fact they cant really contact them for 4 weeks.

and he is a better fit than Saban.
He has Mack's blessing.

McPhaul is trying to double confirm this and may post later.

Huge name.

It has been my opinion all along that this guy may very well be the next coach at Texas.

Let's wait for McP to post.
Why do we need to wait? he said last and this week it was Saban? do you get to change your mind every couple days and still be an insider?just asking?

The "pressure" at Florida was because of the coeds he was f##king.

Edit: the rumor was the coeds were his daughters friends and his wife found out.

1. Personally, I'd wait on Harbaugh any time I had to and take whatever comes as a consequence. He's worth the wait.

2. Meyer won't get a national championship at OSU. Their chances are few and far between to begin with. He's planted right in the middle of one of the fastest locations of decline in the country. The program he currently coaches was in decline when he took it over. So you have no cred on that issue.

3. I'd take Malzahn.

I see no reason why UT wouldn't wait as long as it had to in order to get the right guy. I don't see UT as a place that just jumps out there to get somebody because of the clock or calendar.

Urban, Tomlin, Harbaugh, Harbaugh, Fisher, Malzahn. Anyone of those and I'll be ecstatic.

Sir hornsalot, Ohio State is still one of the top 5 coaching jobs in the country. It is a top 5 recruiting state. How is a program that was 1 quarter away from playing in the National Championship in decline??? I don't get it. If you look at the history of UT and OSU over the last 5 years, OSU is at least on an upward trajectory, they are getting better recruiting classes than UT (and most other schools in the country). Saying OSU is on the decline is a tired uneducated statement and shows that you are being lazy and believing the national narrative about the rest of the Big 10.

Ohio as a state is growing slower than most of the Southern States, that is true, but to take that and generalize that the program is on the decline is absurd (especially since they almost made the NC game). it is like saying Oklahoma is on the decline after a bad year or USC is on the decline. OSU is a national school and recruits nationally, like ND, USC, Bama. So it will always be relevant.

I think my list is Harbaugh, Meyer, Shaw, Fisher, in no particular order.
I'm going Fisher, Shaw, Muschamp. I don't think Harbaugh or Meyer are practical at this point, but we'll see.

I think it will be Briles or Swinney if they make a hire before Xmas. If they wait until mid January I am going with Fisher.

I can't believe no one is mentioning Chip Kelly! The man is innovative and with the recruiting base he and Texas would be damn near unbeatable.

I would think that the show cause for Kelly using street agents may have something to do with that. I would become and aggy fan before I rooted for a Chip Kelly coached Texas team.

Ohio State plays in a very bad conference. They also played no good teams this year and lost to teh only real ggod team they played. Meyer would jump at the chance to leave.

As long as everyone else is doing it...

My list in order:

Saban (I know, don't start!)

Harbaugh (actually, I'd take either brother)

Malzahn

Meyer

Carroll

Shaw

Don't want Briles, Muschamp, Miles, etc.
