2026 PORTAL

From Google AI
NCAA graduate transfers are student-athletes who have completed their bachelor's degree with remaining athletic eligibility, allowing them to transfer and compete immediately at another Division I school. While they can enter the portal at any time, they must still adhere to sport-specific, end-of-season windows, and must be enrolled in a graduate program.
Yep. Still have to adhere to the football sport specific window. Different in non revenue sports.

I'm still living in the past. What happens to a player that graduates this may and is awaiting graduate school decision?
He still would have to enter the portal in January. He could sign after the spring semester but he would have to had already been in the portal to transfer. If he didn't enter he would stay at his current school and either enter grad school there or take classes towards a 2nd bachelors degree.

This is a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Texas is currently in talks with the highest rated player remaining in the portal. He is former Baylor Edge Kamauryn Morgan, whom the Horns recruited his years in high school.

He hails from South Oak Cliff in Dallas where he was a 4-star rated player.

He was recently cleared academically, which is why he is still in the portal this late.

He is 6'5, 251 lbs.

He originally committed to Virginia Tech, but admissions issues tied to a class grade led him to reopen his recruitment.

As a frosh at Baylor, he appeared in 10 games at outside LB, had six tackles and one QB hurry.

Think we are fav. Wonder how patient will be. Most these kids have $ signs. Hope he plays more than 1 yr.

Seems a solid late addition. One thing my old HS coach would tell us, you can't teach speed or natural size, you can only harness it. Hopefully Texas proves to be a place he can turn the lights on, because he sure as hell has the size.

He didnt play much at his two previous stops. Guess we'll see where this one goes.
