2026 PORTAL

I'm with you, I think it's one of the TEs...if not Washington then maybe Shannon.

I hope and pray it isn't Nick Brooks.
My bad in not even remembering Shannon when thinking of the TE room. There’s also Arch’s friend from hs that one service said might be portaling

Also seeing some chatter that Deandre Moore is shopping around. Interested to see what he does moving forward.

Lastly, I expect a couple more of the DBs to leave. TBD which ones.

Right now I'm not buying that one. Moore is a program kind of guy. He's a starter and has good compensation here. I don't know what else he could want.

He’s going to the NFL, id be shocked if he portaled
Per OTF, they aren't expecting WR DeAndre Moore, Jr. back for 2026.

The only question is if he will declare for the draft or enter the portal, and they believe he will go pro.

That'll open the door for one of the 4 freshman receivers last year to get much more PT if they don't go in the portal

Gerry Hamilton had a good point yesterday. This year’s wr draft class is weak relative to next year’s anticipated wr draft class. I think in the end, DeAndre will enter the draft. Staying in college could cost him a round or two on the pay scale

I mean I guess... Drafted in the 5-7th round either year I would guess.

Trying to figure out how many portal spots we have open.

By my count, which could easily be wrong, we currently have 20 open slots for the portal.

The portal officially opens on January 2nd. I don't know why players announce they are entering the portal before the bowl game, but I would think some players want to participate in the bowl, before entering the portal.

Seems like we are likely to have a HUGE portal class, should be an interesting January.

Moore is a solid WR option. But we have so much more talent behind him that can step up. And more coming in. If those guys don't play next year or see a path to play, wouldn't they want to transfer? Obv not all work out as well!

Completely agree.

Mosely and Wingo started coming on towards the end Hopefully Wingo follows the Worthy route -subpar So season follow by an awesome Jr year;

Livingstone was solid all year long and will be even better next year, imo;

McCutcheon showed flashes of being a solid addition;

Lockett will be a star, imo;

Ffrench had a very small sample so the jury is still out

M. Terry is the same as Ffrench. I'm not sure what they have exactly.

Bishop will see the field early and often, imo

Kohen and Stewart will RS

Bold = starter or SIG playing time

If a bonafide #1 WR is available in the portal then I'm sure Texas will pursue. Set up Arch for success next year.

Meaning he wants a chance to show out for the NFL draft

If you're right, it's one helluva risk. Risking injury, and risk losing draft status and cash or having to resort to free agency. Risking having a bad game, etc.

This is why players who expect to gett drafted often skip the bowl games to negate the risk.

I think his draft capital is not high enough to justify sitting out, I imagine he’ll also participate in East/West shrine game
