There is no loyalty from the school to the player anymore. So why would the player show loyalty in return? The lack of loyalty is just staggering. $$$$$$$$$$$ is king.

True, it is a 2-way problem. There is no loyalty from the school to the player anymore. So why would the player show loyalty in return?
Would Earl Campbell be Earl if he sought out the portal his senior year? Fear no more CFB “heros and legends” anymore. Just plug and play players. The lack of loyalty is just staggering. $$$$$$$$$$$ is king.
If I had to guess, his NIL ask was higher than the staff put the value at. I think rb is one of the easier positions to get good/great portal value, and the staff feels they can upgrade at a discount. Definitely need at least two rb’s now
Based on that information, assuming OTF data is correct (not doubting them), this implies there are deeper issues. One doesn't just behave like that if they are happy in their situation. I'm not implying there is a guilty side - he or team or both. I suspect there is more to this than what OTF is reporting or BEEN TOLD.OTF said this morning: he didn't inform the staff. He just requested $1 million and an hour before the team leaves he enters the portal without talking to anyone on staff..
Not how you handle your business.
Players have agents and family members pushing them too (usually in a direction that doesn’t have the player’s best interest in mind). I understand why they’d spring the $1m ask right now, they have their maximum leverage at the momentBased on that information, assuming OTF data is correct (not doubting them), this implies there are deeper issues. I'm sure someone players will over play their hands. I have no idea how much he is being offered vs what he wants.I'm Yuki 988-6870Gonna suck more for the players than the schools when they leave and can’t improve the financial aspect. Wisner is a good back, but he is far from elite. Lacks top end speed. He’ll likely go to a bad team and less money. His production doesn’t warrant big money

I'm sure he felt like he had the coaches hanging over a barrel...shrinking RB room with no assurance of quality coming in.This. According to OTF, Wisner asked for 1 million a year. He was making $650K and it ended with 590 yards rushing, around half of his previous total.
How many of you would think you could achieve half as much and get paid twiice as much for iit?
But thats where he was. I would be shocked if any team out there gave him that much.
And he does this right before the bowl game. SMH
Bye.
There are four backs in the room to play one game. Texas can afford to say bye.I'm sure he felt like he had the coaches hanging over a barrel...shrinking RB room with no assurance of quality coming in.
I disagree. If a player performs as he should, schools show loyalty. There is no loyalty from the school to the player anymore. So why would the player show loyalty in return?
I wish Sark would have told him....Tre....we finished near the bottom of the SEC in rushing with you....we can finish near the bottom without you....good luckThis. I am wondering if Wisner thinks Sark not committed to running game or maybe he looking at O lineBased on that information, assuming OTF data is correct (not doubting them), this implies there are deeper issues. Sark isn’t letting him go unless he knows he’s got better coming in.I'm sure he felt like he had the coaches hanging over a barrel...shrinking RB room with no assurance of quality coming in.
same with Ricky Williams. It was a major feat for Mack Brown to convince Ricky to stay for his senior season.Would Earl Campbell be Earl if he sought out the portal his senior year? Fear no more CFB “heros and legends” anymore. Just plug and play players.
