2025 Recruiting Board/Thread

We may have to up the NIL ante, to compete with Oregon
100%. Gerry or Bobby said this morning that Michael Terry is trending towards Oregon. 🤮I'm tired of this shit. But go figure, the dude that bought aggys #1 class, players that quit on them is the recruiting coordinator there.

Yes, and now oregons 5* WR recruit Wilson is teeeting stuff. Perhaps Moore got more NIL than he did ?
Wondering what Oregon would give Fasusi ? Where does it stop ?

Just buy everbody

Coaches have a difficult balancing act to maintain...do you want a TEAM or a group of mercenaries? aggy found out how a group of mercenaries works out and I doubt that's an exception. Sark seems to be good at maintaining a balance with the right guys getting a fair NIL package. We shall see.

Sark is has built a foundation to sustain 9+ wins every year. That’s important.

I still think it’s key to land those handful of generational type talents each class to take the team to another level. We have some on our team now but will we in the future if winning doesn’t matter? 2025 doesn’t look good yet but it’s early.

We have the $$, are we willing to spend it to compete on $?

Looks like ou has a lead for Faususi. Apparently, they've shown him how they are the quickest route to the playing field. And he likes that.

And we are

and we are a Nike school so every time someone buys UT merchandise with a swoosh on it Oregon’s NIL fund increases. That just seems wrong

Who else would you want? Reebok? Addidas? UnderArmor?

Young guns like Nike (the best shoe that child labor can make). So UT will stay with Nike. I'm waiting for Puma to make a comeback. I might have some "astro-turf pumas" in a box somewhere.

When I was in college - Run DMC was rapping about Addidas. So there's that.

I used to love Nikes. I wore their apparel in addition to shoes. But thiings change. I haven't worn Nikes in 20 years now.

I discovered a shoe made by Merrill. Great fit, light weight, superior traction, you can do anything in them. And they are made so well that the ones I bought 4 years ago will be the last pair I'll ever need to buy.

I used to love Pumas. Another lightweight shoe. Also Asics was very good.

I think what we will see from this is that it won't work unless everyone on the team understands their pecking order. I don't see that in 18-20 year olds. It will be a me first attitude and you'll have a team of highly paid 5 stars but disfunctional team that plays like a bunch of prima donnas.
I'm pretty sure their class will fall apart like aggy did.

I see your point, but I thought Nike also paid us so they could sell licensed UT gear.

At least we have Brandon Baker and Goosby on the roster. I think LT is covered for the next three years.
