Williams at IT has put in a Texas pick for DB Kade Phillips of Fort Bend Hightower.

He mentioned to me a while back that the staff has told him both CB and S are on the table for him.

They haven't confirmed it, but IT is hearing that Phillips had an under-the-radar visit to Texas recently.

Things look great going into this weekend.

For some clarity on WR Kaliq Lockett, IT has him at 70% to Texas and their sources feel good about him going into his official visit.

However, they acknowledge landing the "Big 3" (Ffrench, Lockett, Moore) at WR will remain difficult because there is a huge effort by other schools to make sure those guys aren't teaming up at Texas.

Does Lockett ultimately want to be WR1 at a place like A&M? Or does he choose the school he prefers while being a part of an elite trio like Sark coached at Alabama (Jeudy, Smith, Waddle)?

I wouldn't be surprised to hear that angle being mentioned by the staff once the weekend is over as all of those guys were first rounders along with Ruggs.

After some Google research I find that Mandarin High School was named after the Mandarin community which was named after the mandarin orange. Inquiring minds wanted to know.

Wells said he has some personal stuff going on outside of football, so he's going to save the official visit.

He's still expected to commit on July 4th and it will be a shock if it's not LSU.

Sark will gladly play the long game on this one, per IT.
