6-3 225 per offical Texas roster. At what point does 10 lbs matter?
But that's not what he weighs.

I think you have discovered the point at which 10 lbs, or 15 lbs, matter.

Rationalizing weight doesn't work very well. You could "but if" it until you're down to 175 lbs or lower. Besides, you want your ends to be taller because you want the opposing QB to have more trouble seeing over them.

247 saying Texas.
Hamilton wrote this morning that Williams told them Texas is his leader.

Nahlin at IT says there are "mixed signals" on whether or not Texas will take him this early.

The staff has invited him to the upcoming Junior Day on January 20th.

IT had a write-up on him a few minutes ago, so it appears Williams is trending towards being a Longhorn soon.

Something to keep in mind for those who track numbers, Williams may be more of a hybrid DE take as opposed to just an LB.

If you watch his film above (and that's just his sophomore film), you can see how long he is and how much ground he covers at 6'4".

That would make sense. The only other EDGE offers in-state are Chad Woodfork (we look pretty good in that recruitment) and Kamryn Morgan from Red Oak.

I shot him a message this morning since I was curious, and he told me the staff has talked to him about playing both.

His trainer also confirmed to me that he's a legit 6'3".

Speaking of that, Hamilton said this morning Texas is "in the mix" for DE Max Granville and considers him one of the top edges in the nation.

I thought that was interesting since he didn't have Texas in his top schools.

Isn't Simmons 6'2"? But sometimes don't matter about size if play hard & hungry.
